Static Stretching

Holding a stretch position for an extended period to improve flexibility.

Static stretching involves holding a stretched position for 15-60 seconds. It improves flexibility over time and can aid relaxation. However, static stretching before heavy lifting may temporarily reduce strength and power. It is best performed after workouts or separate from training sessions.
