Stability Ball (Swiss Ball)
A large inflated ball used for core exercises and adding instability.
Stability balls are large inflated balls used for core exercises, stretching, and adding instability to movements. While popular for ab work, the instability they provide reduces force production, making them suboptimal for strength training. They are better suited for rehabilitation and mobility work.
Examples
- Stability ball crunches
- Stretching and mobility work
- Better for rehab than strength
