Barbell
A long bar used with weight plates for compound exercises like squats and deadlifts.
A standard barbell is 7 feet long and weighs 45 pounds (20kg). It allows for the heaviest loading and is essential for compound movements. Different types include Olympic barbells, powerlifting bars, and specialty bars (trap bar, EZ curl bar). Barbells enable bilateral movements where both hands work together.
