Anatomy
Hip Flexors
The muscles at the front of the hip that lift the thigh toward the torso.
The hip flexors, primarily the iliopsoas, rectus femoris, and tensor fasciae latae, flex the hip to bring the knee up. They are often tight from prolonged sitting, which can affect posture and exercise form. Stretching and strengthening hip flexors improves mobility and performance in squats and deadlifts.
