Work Capacity
The ability to perform and recover from training volume.
Work capacity is your ability to handle training volume and recover from it. Higher work capacity allows more total training, potentially leading to greater adaptations. Work capacity is developed progressively through gradually increasing training volume. It varies by individual genetics, recovery practices, nutrition, and training history.
