Wilks Score
A coefficient used to compare powerlifting totals across different body weights.
The Wilks score adjusts powerlifting totals (squat + bench + deadlift) to allow comparison across different weight classes. A higher Wilks indicates a more impressive total relative to body weight. Elite scores exceed 400; world-class approaches 500. DOTS and IPF GL are newer formulas that have largely replaced Wilks.
