Strip Set
Another term for drop set, reducing weight to continue past failure.
Strip sets are identical to drop sets - performing a set to failure, quickly reducing (stripping) weight, and continuing. The term comes from removing (stripping) plates from the bar. Strip sets on barbells require weight plates designed for quick removal, or training partners to strip weight efficiently.
Examples
- Strip 25lb plates off each side and continue
- Leg press strip set
