Fascia

Connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles and organs.

Fascia is a web of connective tissue that surrounds muscles, muscle groups, blood vessels, and organs. It provides structural support and may play a role in force transmission between muscles. Fascial restrictions can limit range of motion. Foam rolling and myofascial release techniques target fascial tissue.
