Deltoids (Delts)
The shoulder muscles consisting of anterior, lateral, and posterior heads.
The deltoids are the muscles that cap the shoulders, consisting of three heads: anterior (front), lateral (side), and posterior (rear). The anterior delt is involved in pressing movements, the lateral delt creates shoulder width, and the rear delt assists in pulling movements. Balanced development of all three heads creates well-rounded shoulders.
