Tight-fitting clothing or devices that apply pressure to muscles.
Compression garments apply graduated pressure to muscles, theoretically improving blood flow and reducing swelling. While popular, research on performance and recovery benefits is mixed. Some athletes report feeling better with compression, which may have psychological benefits even if physical effects are minimal.
