Macrocycle
A long-term training plan, typically spanning months to a year.
A macrocycle is the big-picture training plan spanning several months to a year. It contains multiple mesocycles organized to peak for a competition or achieve long-term goals. For recreational lifters, the macrocycle might simply be ongoing progress without a specific peak date.
