Body Recomposition

Simultaneously losing fat and gaining muscle, typically at maintenance calories.

Body recomposition involves losing fat while building muscle at the same time. This is most achievable for beginners, those returning from a break, or overweight individuals. It typically occurs at maintenance calories or a slight deficit with adequate protein and progressive training. Progress is slower than focused bulk/cut phases.

Examples

  • Scale weight stable but body changes
  • Best for beginners or returning lifters
  • Eating at or near maintenance
